Editioned Artist’s Book

Daydream is an artist’s book that explores the semiotic potential of everyday objects, printed using Lithograph and Letterpress techniques. The book comprises 36 cards, each one carefully crafted on BFK Rives paper. Desk tools—clips, threads, rulers, and knives—are renamed according to their traits and characteristics, challenging conventions and encouraging imaginative reinterpretation.

The book, designed with the Centaur typeface, invites readers to rethink what objects can symbolize, turning an ordinary desk into a space for daydreaming. For instance, I interpret a bread bag clip as “love” and a paperclip as “angel,” offering these metaphorical readings that evoke a dreamlike unfolding of meaning.

To engage with the book, the cards are wrapped in fabric, allowing them to be unfolded like a picnic on the grass. This tactile presentation invites readers to immerse themselves in the soft, tactile experience of the book.
